The Vetting Committee for the upcoming GFA elections has been duly inaugurated and will commence work from September 26- October 1.

Members of the Committee were sworn in after a meeting which was held at the GFA Secretariat on Thursday, September 19.

The chairman of the Committee is lawyer Mr Frank Davies Esq. with corporate governance consultant and legal practitioner Mrs Marian Barnor and lawyer Mr Emmanuel Darkwah as members.

Other members are Mr.Reginald Laryea, a Marketing and Business Executive and Mr Richard Akpokavie, a sports Administrator and legal practitioner.

The Committee will soon communicate the time and venue for vetting to respective candidates.

Normalisation Committee closes filing of nomination forms

The Normalisation Committee last Friday officially closed the filing of nomination forms for the various positions which include the slot for the GFA Presidency, Executive Council and the Regional Football Associations for the upcoming GFA elections.

The country's interim football governing body opened nominations for the various positions on Monday and declared Friday as the submission for all forms before 4 pm.

Before the 4 pm deadline personalities including George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Amanda Clinton, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Kojo Yankah, George Ankomah Mensah and Fred Pappoe, had filed their nominations to contest the Presidency of the Ghana Football Association.

Apart from the Presidential elections, there will be elections for places on the GFA’s Executive Council. Also, Frederick Acheampong, Randy Abbey, Alhaji Grusah, among others filed their nomination forms.
