1500 SMEs to benefit from Stanbic Incubator programme

One thousand five hundred (1500) Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana are expected to benefit from the maiden edition of the Stanbic bank business incubator programme.

The programme is targeted at building strong SMEs across the nation as a bedrock for accelerated economic development.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of an entrepreneurship conferences in Accra - Head of Emerging Payments at Stanbic bank Ghana, Patrick Quantson, said the programme was opened to all SMEs in the country.

Currently, about 90% of businesses in Ghana fall into the SMEs category and a considerable proportion are from the industrial sector.

Mr. Quantson noted “there is a huge room for SMEs to be supported in order for them to contribute towards the growth of the country”.

The Stanbic Business Incubator programme form part of the partnership between the private and public sector to achieve the ambitious industrialization agenda, one-district-one-factory, of President Nana Akufo-Addo's administration.
