Ecobank has once again been named Ghana’s no 1. Bank by the international business or investor magazine - Euromoney in its 2017 edition of banking Awards of Excellence.

The disclosure was made by Euromoney in its publication of the final list of banking awardees for the year late last Month.

Ecobank had earlier won the magazine's (Euromoney) digital bank for 2017 as well as the country’s bank of the year award at the annual Ghana Banking Awards in July.

The Pan-African bank emerged winner of the highly covetous award after beating over 33 contemporaries in Ghana including international banking offices in the country that were nominated.

The most significant basis for its emergence still being the bank’s exemplary commitment to corporate social responsibility; asset-oriented approach in the management of its human resources or personnel as well as; its leverage on digital technology in providing banking services at its various outlets across Ghana.

The award from Euromoney: a member of the Euromoney Institutional Investor – a leading global business-to-business media group with a focus on the financial industry, further draws the attention of the Ghanaian, African as well as the global public to Ecobank and increasingly heightens the penetration of its Pan-Africanist business philosophy.

More so, ahead of a new banking year that is set to witness massive reforms or critical interferences in banking activities in the country by the government – through the Bank of Ghana, a financial institution in the country could not wish for a better endorsement of its brand: to promote a higher level of clients confidence in its many banking services, as the Euromoney Award.
