Deputy Minister of Transport Dr. Joyce Bawa Mogtari says the Ghana Airport Company has secured a $250 million syndicated loan facility from Ghanaian Financial Institutions to refurbish airports in the country.
According to the Deputy Minister, Turkish contractors will undertake the projects adding that plans are also in the works for the country to have a national carrier once again after the demise of Ghana Airways.
“Lessons have been learnt from Ghana Airways so government is seeking to enter a public-private partnership this time around†she stated.
