Minister for Energy and Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has notified government will take a cue from experiences gathered from previous oil fields to get the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) field in a better shape to help Ghana’s transformational agenda.
According to Mr. Buah, lessons has been learnt from the other fields such as “compressor problems at the jubilee field†and with this lessons a lot has been put “in terms of planning and execution at the new TEN fields to get a better result.â€
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Mr Alexander Mould also reckons the start of commercial oil production from the (TEN) fields in the Western Region will boost Ghana’s economic growth.
President John Mahama will commission first oil from the fields today, Thursday, 18 August.
