Vodafone Ghana has launched Vision In Motion(VIM) which it says will give young talented Ghanaian entrepreneurs the opportunity to boost their skills and talents.
The initiative focuses on empowering subscribers with knowledge, shaping their skills, connecting them to the things that matters most to them, and rewarding loyalty.
Speaking to the media at the launch on Monday,Marketing Director of Vodafone Ghana, Agnes Emefa Essah, said VIM would equips people with knowledge and motivation to enhance their skills.Â
It would be done through weekly motivational voice clips and a series of educational and self-development videos on seven main courses including T-shirt printing, soap making, beauty, fashion, baking, juice making and décor.
"It will also offer unequalled minutes for calls to Vodafone and other networks, in addition to data for browsing the internet and will touch the lives of over 100 loyal customers per quarter in various vocational courses, award them certificates and provide essential working tools to enable them to succeed,"she stated.
She revealed that this is targeted at people mostly involved in small scale trading and those looking for opportunities to put their energies to good use.
Ms Essah added that Vodafone VIM has been designed to meet the specific needs of these people and to satisfy their passion. “These groups need VIM to become what they want to be – and we want to be the platform that gives them this VIM to go all out and succeed.''
Head of Segment Marketing at Vodafone, Julius Owusu-Kyerematen explained that subscription cost is GH₵3.00 and comes with GH₵55 worth of minutes to call Vodafone numbers, GH₵1.30 worth of minutes to call any other network, and 300MB data for the internet for 7 days.
He mentioned that participants can win fully paid professional training and working tool by staying active on the offer, and must have finished viewing all the tutorial videos for a minimum of 12 weeks.
