Abraham Attah wins Black Film Critics Circle’s Rising Star Award

Young Ghanaian rising actor, Abraham Attah, has received yet another award, this time the rising star award, from the Black Film Critics Circle.

The US critics' association called the Ghanaian's debut as an African child soldier was "one of the strongest and most phenomenal we have ever seen" and said he had "a very bright future ahead of him".

 Beasts of No Nation received a special mention, with young lead Abraham Attah getting the BFCC's rising star award.

 Abraham Attah is a Ghanaian actor. He made his feature film debut in Beasts of No Nation. For his leading role of child soldier Agu, Attah was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni's Best Young Actor Award at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival
