Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has issued an unqualified apology to gospel musician Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye after admitting that statements she made about the artiste earlier this year were false and without merit.

In a statement dated Thursday, December 5, 2025, released by Agyaa Asamani Law Consult, Nana Agradaa  retracted a series of social media posts she published in May 2025 in reaction to comments made by politician Hopeson Adorye. The posts were widely interpreted as casting serious aspersions on Empress Gifty’s morality and character.

According to the statement signed by her counsel, Richard Asare Baffour, Nana Agradaa’s comments were made “in the spur of the moment” but were taken literally as imputing immorality and unchastity to Empress Gifty. Her lawyers now state unequivocally that those allegations were completely unfounded.

“It is now stated unequivocally that the allegations made by our client as contained in the impugned publications were false and completely without merit. Consequently, our client retracts every statement made therein,” the statement read.

Nana Agradaa also extended a sincere apology to Empress Gifty for the harm caused to her personal and professional reputation, character, and well-being.
