Ghanaian rising rapper and Corazon Entertainment Artist, Solomon Yeboah, who is professionally known as Don Elvi is positive that Asakaa Music is here to stay forever and not just in the trends for a while.

Speaking about the release of his new track “Yaaba” in a one-on-one interview on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, on DaybreakHitz on Hitz FM, the Rapper said the song was released to fight back critics of the new genre.

“Yaaba” which means ‘we have arrived’ in Twi is intended to basically prove that ‘Asakaa is for life,’ Don Elvi stated.

Asakaa Music is a Kumerican drill genre that originated from the capital city of the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Kumasi.

Asakaa is a street word carved from the word “Kasa”, a Twi word that means ‘to speak’.

It’s a new genre of music hitting the streets of Ghana and mainly the internet.

Inspired by the drill scene in the U.K and New York, Asakaa Music is set to take over both locations as it introduces to the world a form of drill music never been heard or seen before.

Rising Artiste like Black, Sheriff hitmaker of the Second Sermon; Kwaku Darlington with Sika Aba Fie; Yaw Tog, Rich Kent, Reggie, Jay Bhad, and many others are composers of the Asakaa genre of music.
