You could label him the one hit tune maker but Atom is earning some bread from his ‘Ye Wo Krom’ tune, a sampling of Gasmilla’s ‘Telemo’ song.
Many were pleasantly surprised when ‘Ye Wo Krom’ was played at Apple’s conference introducing its new Apple Music App but Atom claims he struck a deal from that incident smiling to the bank.
While guest on the AM Pluzz show, Atom asserted “Apple paid me between $20,000 and $50,000 for using my song without first contacting me.â€
The Ghana Music Award winner, informed show host, Sammy Flex it took 45 days for the deal between his good self and Apple to be concluded.
Perhaps to show that like his tune, ‘Ye Wo Krom’, he is also in town, the unassuming chap has taken possession of a Range Rover customized ‘Atom 16 – 16’.
Some, however, contend if Atom does not own a house or landed property, it would be misplaced priority to have opted for a range rover especially since he’s unable to produce any other hit song to cater for a life of luxury he craves.
