The 2021 edition of the most anticipated TV reality show aired on TV3, Mentor X has come to an end with DSL emerging as the winner.

The grand finale for this year’s edition of the music reality show, came off at the National Theatre on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

The show, being the 10th edition, was dubbed Mentor X.

The final climaxed many weeks of action-packed performances from the 16 contestants that were cut down to five.

The five finalists were all males, with AJ, Eli, and DSL as vocalists, whiles Konfidential and Wise B, being rappers.

Vocalist DSL emerged as the ultimate winner and took home a prize package worth GHS500,000.

The package included a brand new car, cash, promotional deals, and a record label contract with Richie Mensah's Lynx Entertainment.

The first and second runners-up Konfidential and AJ also took home GHS8,000 and GHS6,000 respectively, thousands of cedis in promotional airtime, and a variety of additional prizes from advertisers.

Eli who came third received a price of GHS4,000 and thousand of cedis in promotional airtime and a variety of additional rewards from advertisers.

Whiles Wise B also received GHS2,000 as he came fourth and hundreds of cedis in promotional airtime, and a variety of additional rewards from advertisers.

DSL as he had his second performance, sang his own song titled ‘Boyz Pe Cho’ and he got the whole auditorium on fire.

The judges on the show, Reggie Rockstone, Richie Mensah, Adina Thembi, and Kwabena Kwabena, were all of the opinions that DSL already had hit song on his hands.
