Kumawood actress Tracey Boakye has disclosed that she deliberately left the United Kingdom for Ghana at age 16 because she wanted to be famous.

Being a celebrity or simply being famous has its own advantages and disadvantages, and according to Tracey Boakye speaking to NY DJ on YFM Kumasi, revealed that she didn't really have the movie industry in mind thinking of its advantages and disadvantages, all she wanted was just to be famous and leaving her parents in the UK at age 16 was the best decision she ever made.

"I wasn’t thinking about the Ghana Movie Industry. I was thinking about me wanting to be famous… I had the passion for acting as well so why keep it in me. I decided to come to Ghana and showcase that talent I had”, she said.

She also responded to several allegations including rumours that she said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was a useless political party.

Proving to listeners how loyal and proud she is of the party, Tracey Boakye openly stated that it is her wish for her coffin to be painted with NDC colours when she dies.
