Ace musician, Stella Aba Seal, previously Stella Dugan, has stated that she is not a gospel musician, rather, a Christian musician or a spiritual musician, if anyone wants to ascribe her a title.

According to her, anyone at all can be a gospel musician but not everyone is or can be a Christian or spiritual musician.

“I am a Christian musician or a spiritual musician. Elder Mireku is a spiritual musician. Gospel means good news. Shatta Wale can sing a gospel song,” she said on TV XYZ.

The ‘Oye Nyame’ hitmaker also explained that her definition of a spiritual musician is based on the fact that spiritual songs draw people close to God and not all gospel songs do that.

“Not anyone who sings gospel is a Christian”, she added.

Stella further confirmed her divorce but refused to give any details about it.

Stella came to the limelight in the 80s and is well known for her songs ‘Asafo Yehowa’, ‘Mo Yi Yesu Kristo Aye’, ‘Ewurade Anuonyam’, ‘Okura yen mu’, Yehowa Ye Kronkron, and many others.
