Award-winning gospel artiste and nurse, Diana Hamilton, says she has always placed her music career ahead of her £26,000 a year nursing profession.

The work in progress hit maker, speaking on Accra100.5FM’s, said: “If you put my two professions – nursing and music – on the table, I will always choose music over nursing on any day and anytime".

According to her, in spite of an early discovery of her unique singing voice by the parents, she was advised to pursue her education to establish a career in nursing as a backbone, before venturing into the volatile music environment.

"My parents didn’t want to see me go hungry in the likelihood that I was not invited to perform at events or was unable to sell my music and so asked that I pursue nursing…while I practice my music on the sides".

Madam Hamilton however could not quantify how much she  makes from music.
