Afrobeat artiste, Kelvyn Boy who has been very active in the music industry says he still doesn't see himself as a mainstream artiste because it takes a lot to hold that position.

According to him, despite the number of hit songs the Burniton Music signee has released so far, tagging himself as a mainstream musician now will be more or less a hyperbole.

Speaking to Zionfelix, Kelvyn Boy stated that being tagged and described as a mainstream musician in the Ghanaian music industry is something that does not come easy and as such he believes that there are few things he has to do to attain that status.

The 'Coffee' singer also intimated that a time will come where Ghanaians will know and accept that he has worked very hard and deserves the mainstream artiste status.

He also suggested that his yet to be released EP dubbed ‘Time’ is totally in connection with the explosion his music career is set to see.

Kelvynboy also used the ‘Uncut’ platform to correct the misconception out there that has it that he might never be a mainstream artiste unless he breaks away from Stonebwoy and his Burniton music. He states vehemently that it was totally false because if it is time for him to become mainstream, nothing can stop it.
