Kumawood movie producer, Paul Agyei, popularly known as Paul Gee has disclosed that, movies featuring actor Alex Kofi Adu aka Agya Koo do not sell as they used to.

Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Ashh FM, he said, Agya Koo's movies have not been selling in the market for the past four years.

“Although Agya Koo is a great actor, he is not marketable at the moment and I would not cast him for a movie since most of the target audience are not much interested in buying movies that had him starred”, he said.

Admitting Agya Koo's role in resurrecting the local movie industry after the demise Bob Santo, Paul Gee stated that  Agya Koo's waning influence was not because he is not  good actor but it was as a result of other great actors such as Kwadwo Nkansah (Lil Win) is now people’s favorite and can quietly play his roles. ‘’ For the past four years when you go on the market the demand for Lil Win movies is higher than Agya Koo’’ he added.

Paul Gee was commenting on a recent claim by Agya Koo  that his absence on screen had made it possible for Kumkum Bhagya and other telenovelas to dominate..
