'Touch It,' a hit song by Ghanaian Afrobeat singer, Dennis Nana Kweku Dwamena, aka Kidi, has been nominated for this year’s National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NACCP) awards.

'Touch it' comes from his Golden Boy album.

The award-winning artiste has been nominated as one of the top musicians for the 53rd NACCP Image Awards in the outstanding International Song category.

Other nominees in that category include Wizkid with ‘Essence’, Tiwa Savage with ‘Somebody’s Son’, Fire boy with ‘Peru’ and Omah Lay with ‘Understated’. This makes KiDi the only Ghanaian in that category.

The NAACP award honours outstanding performances of people of colour in film, television, music and literature.

In just five months, ‘Touch It’ set a new record by becoming the most streamed Ghanaian song ever on Spotify.

Currently, it has 37.6 million streams on Spotify. It peaked at #11 for ‘World Digital Sales’ on the global music ranking platform, Billboard.
