Ghanaian Hip-hop artiste, Kwesi Arthur is currently in Los Angeles for the 2018 Black Entertainment Awards (BET Awards).

Kwesi Arthur's nomination took Ghanaians by surprise and has since triggered a massive campaign on social media with the hashtag #IPICKKWESIA18.

In 2015, MzVee was nominated for BET Awards’ all new category, Best New International Act Viewers’ Choice Award.

Kwesi Arthur, whose song ‘Grind Day’ won ‘Hip Pop Song of the Year’ at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards, becomes the second Ghanaian to be nominated for that category.

To win that award, he has to beat off competition from Mc Soffia (Brazil), Prince Waly (France), Niniola (Nigeria), Sjava (South Africa), Sik-K (South Korea), Nailah Blackman (Trinidad And Tobago), Not3s (UK), Iamddb (UK) and Take A Mic (France).

Kwesi Arthur got his fans’ emotional when he posted a video of his mom and grandma praising God amidst tears for his recent BET nomination.

In a video he shared on his Instagram page, the “Grind Day” hitmaker’s mom is seen hugging him as she sang praises to God for the way he has paved for the musician’s career.
