This year's Radio & Telvision Personality (RTP) Awards will have two new categories.Â
The new categories, according to CEO of Big Events Ghana, organisers of the awards, Prince Mackay will be Best Blogger of the Year and Best Media Group of the Year.
Mr Mackay disclosed this in an interview with Assin-Foso based Nkwa FM's DJ Fangi.
According to him, this year's awards will be launched on Sunday, July 24, at the  Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi.
The awards, which have usually been held around October since its inception, will likely be moved to September due to the upcoming general elections in early November.
The RTP Awards honours on-air personalities across the nation for their performances within the year under review and is the most prestigious awards scheme in the industry.
