Sarkodie to sign for Jay Z's Roc Nation

Just a few weeks after his epic battle with M.anifest over who is the rap boss in Ghana, self-proclaimed rap king, Sarkodie is set to sign onto Roc Nation, the record label founded by  Ameican rapper and businessman, Jay Z.

According to media reports, Director of Mobile Strategies at Roc Nation, Briant (Beehigh) Biggs has disclosed that the label which is now targeting artistes on country by country basis and had chosen Sarkodie from Ghana and were already  in talks with the award winning rapper to have him on board.

“We are going country by country. I am already talking to Sarkodie in Ghana to do something with him. I have got something in Gambia, Gabon and Senegal. We have it all spread out. Even in South Africa I am grabbing one artist out there.”

Briant who is also in charge of discovering new talents around the world for the label signed a distribution deal with Mavin Record artist Tiwa Savage a month ago and has promised to help build the brand of the Sarkodie through their platform.

“By using our platform that we have already built, we are giving them access to everything we have at our office to help them to do the same. Build their brands and their companies like we did ours.”
