Self acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, and rapper Medikal are expected to reappear before the Accra Circuit Court on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

During the last court hearing on December 7, 2021, the lawyers of the celebrities pleaded with the court to give their clients the opportunity to spend time with their families since it was drawing near to Christmas.

The court granted the plea for Shatta Wale and Medikal’s court hearing to be pushed a bit further.

Shatta Wale was granted self-recognisance bail after spending a week in police custody over false publication.

He pleaded not guilty to the publication of false news and causing fear and panic when he first appeared in court.

Rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong known as Medikal was also granted bail in the sum of GHS100,000.

He also pleaded not guilty to a charge of displaying arms and ammunition. The accusation follows reports that Medikal brandished a pistol in footage published on Snapchat and later shared on other social media.
