Arguably one of the most priceless Ghanaian gospel artist, Joe Mettle, has revealed he is no longer single, contrary to rumours he is still searching.

Though he did not disclose who the woman is, the VGMA Artist of the Year said he does not look at physical appearances in women but relies on God for answers regarding the right woman.

Speaking on an Accra based radio station, the artist who is out with a new single, 'BO NƆƆ NI' recalled some difficult times in his life where he had to be disrespected at a church he had been invited to go and sing.

“I was looked down upon at a church by a pastor whose church I had gone to sing,” he said. “He was like do you think we are joking.”

Narrating his personal struggles in life, he said it was not easy and even when he decided to take up singing, nobody would give him the chance to even hold the microphone, let alone come close to it.

But his unrelenting faith in God helped him get through with life and he has never looked back.

Now one of the most sought after artist in the country, he said the focus has not been about making money but an opportunity to carry the word of God to souls who need encouragement.

“We are not very calculating here that if you do one plus one here it will be two for you,” he said. “The only side of the business structures; how to promote yourself, how to carry out events.”

He said he may have rejected some shows because the budget was not enough to carry his crew with him.

Joe Mettle was a member of the famous Soul Winners group and said he left the group because of commitment with school, which was then affecting their schedules.
