Wordsmith, M.anifest real name Kwame Ametepe Tsikata has opined he was never best friends with Sarkodie even before their ‘bossy-godMC-kanta’ feud.

M.anifest further intimated he does not reckon that the relationship they had had deteriorated since the expression of thought in their respective music.

“Nothing has changed. We were never best friends and whatever the relationship was before is still the same now. …(we are) musical colleagues, he informed Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye on the Rhythmz A-Z show on Saturday.

The apparent feud is rooted in Sarkodie’s ‘Bossy’ song which sought to proclaim him boss over his colleagues but Manifest was having none of that and offered ‘godMC’ to stake his claim only for Sark to release ‘Kanta’ in haste which had a few unsavory words.

Asked inspiration behind his ‘godMC’ track, Manifest revealed, “It came from me hearing a song… For me as a creative artiste is someone who is fearless and bold, when I disagree with something and I feel a certain way about it and I can address it in music and I did that and I just keep it moving” adding “it was more than just about a response to a song. It addresses many things.”

M.anifest’s ‘No Where Cool’ latest album is expected to be released on Thursday, September 8.
