The power crises at the Tamale Teaching Hospital in the Northern region has led to the death of a baby at the hospital.

According to Radio Ghana's Northern regional correspondent, Murtala Issa the hospital can now be described as a death trap as a man lost his baby due to negligence.

He also pointed out some unbearable situations in the hospital as doctors have no conditioners around for smooth working conditions during the most difficult times in the North when temperatures are as high as 39 degrees.

But reacting to the issue, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Amed Farid said investigations were already going on to ascertain the cause of the issues.

He also added that some of the issues were normal issues because the hospital serves the three regions of the North and sometimes faces intense pressure.
