The Eastern regional minister Mavis Ama Frimpong says the police administration has deployed 90 police personnel to restore and sustain peace in Afram Plains.
In an interview with Radio Ghana the eastern regional minister indicates that it has become necessary to deploy backup to the district police command following the recent clash between the police and indigenes of Donkokrom.
“So we are bringing in re-enforcement team of 90 police personnel from Accra, Koforidua, and Volta region Hoâ€.
She added “currently there is calm but we want to restore and sustain peace in the areaâ€.
