Akufo-Addo off to Mali on first trip as President

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will visit Mali today, January 13, on his first trip abroad as Ghana's leader.

While in Mali, he is expected to hold bilateral talks with Malian president, Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta and sign some trade agreements.

The two leaders will also discuss the crisis in The Gambia and suggest possible solution.

Sworn into office on January 7, 2017, as the 5th President of the 4th Republic of Ghana, Mr Akufo-Addo has been very this week forming his government.

He has so far nominated 36 persons for various ministerial roles and has promised to complete his list of minister by next week.
