The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party Nana Akufo-Addo has been  shocked by the passing of the MP for Abetifi Peter Wiafe Pepera.

In a tweet, Akufo-Addo said "Shocked by the death of Honourable Peter Pepera, MP for Abetifi. My deepest condolence to his family and I urge them to stay strongâ€.
Pepera, who celebrated his 62nd birthday on May 9 is reported to have died of heart attack after being rushed to the 37 Military Hospital, Saturday.
A former Managing Director of Paramount Distilleries, he won the Abetifi seat on the ticket of NPP in 2012 to replace Eugene Atta Agyepong and was a member of the Privileges and the Trade, Industry and Tourism Committees of Parliament.
