Beneficiaries of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of the Ashanti Region said they will be forced to take legal actions against the Agency if their seven month salaries are not paid.

In a notice of a demonstration against the management, the beneficiaries said all efforts to appeal to YEA management for an amicable solution to their issues have fallen on death ears.

The concerned beneficiaries speaking in a radio interview explained that their demonstration is to drive home their demand for authorities of YEA to pay them their outstanding arrears.

“We the beneficiaries deserves better. It is very pathetic that you will work and at the end of the month, your salary will not come. Some of us sometimes come to work on an empty stomach which is very bad. We are urging YEA management to pay us our 7 months arrears or face our wrath. We will take the necessary legal action against them if they fail to pay us our arrears” they said.

The beneficiaries include Community Health Nurses, Community Police, Teaching Assistance, Fire and Forestry officers.
