The wedding day of Rebecca Buah which was supposed to be memorable turned out to be a disappointing one as her groom, Aaron Ackah, midway into the ceremony was arrested by the police leading to her reportedly collapsing.
The 30-year-old groom is alleged to have robbed a Chinese small scale  of GH¢ 18,000 after inflicting numerous knife wounds on him at Aniamote in the Wassa Amenfi District of the Western Region
The wedding ceremony which was taking place at the Aldersgate Methodist Church at West Anaji in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis on Saturday April 2, 2016 had to end abruptly after policeman led by a civilian stormed the the grounds just when the couple had finished exchanging their marital vows and left many of the shocked guests weeping and wailing, starrfmonline reported.
The officiating minister was just about to usher them into the wearing of ring when two plain-clothed police officers who had been detailed from Bogoso entered suddenly and whisked the groom away after properly identifying himself.
The suspect has since been taken to Prestea for further investigations.
