The Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious affairs Kofi Dzamesi Affairs has inaugurated two committees to help facilitate the pilgrimage of Christians to holy sites in the world. Speaking at the ceremony in Accra, the minister lauded the peaceful co-existence between Christians, Muslim and other religious faiths in the country.

He believes Christians and other religions should have a board to facilitate their pilgrimages to sites over the world, just as there is a Hajj board to help Muslims to go Mecca.

This would further deepen religious harmony and peaceful coexistence.

The committee will be task to facilitate the first page of Christian pilgrims who will visit some holy sites in the world.

“…Is not here to actually to dig into the affairs of religious bodies but rather to facilitate and enhance  the activities of the religious groups, if we talk about our other friend that is the Muslim they already have a Hajj board now what do we do with our Christians brothers so we have started first of all to inaugurate a planning committee for pilgrimage for our Christians brothers.”
