Properties belonging to convicted Cocaine dealer, Ruby Nayele Ametefe aka Ruby Adu Gyamfi aka Angel are to be confiscated to the state.

This comes after an  Accra High Court upheld the Nacortic Control Board (NACCOB)'s decision to take over the properties after Ruby,  currently serving an eight (8) year jail term in the United Kingdom for smuggling 12.5 kilogrammes of cocaine into at country, was jailed.

Speaking on OKAY FM on Monday, Mr Evans Osei Baffour, Head of Communications and Media Relations for NACCOB, confirmed the court order saying the assets to be confiscated included six bank accounts at Fidelity Bank, a home decor shop known as Night Angels Enterprise which is located at Dzorwulu, two buildings located at East Legon in Accra and Piase, Kuntenase in the Ashanti Region and some vehicles.

He said the only obstacle to the court order was Ruby's mother's claim that some of the properties being confiscated belonged to her an not the daughter.

The court, he added, had given the mother some time to present proof of her claims.

Mr Osei Baffour said though it had taken a while for NACCOB to get the court order for the confiscation, the delay was necessary as it was to enable them do their due diligence also make them abide by the law.
