The Ministry of Defence has officially welcomed the newly appointed Minister for Defence, Hon Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, on his first day in office, following his assumption of duty as the substantive Minister responsible for the Ministry.

‎As part of activities to formally receive the Minister, a Guard of Honour was mounted to officially welcome him to the Ministry.

‎The Minister subsequently exchanged pleasantries with management and staff of the Ministry including the Chief Director, Mr Emmanuel Kartey as well as the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong and the Service Chiefs.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for Hon Adjei to formally interact with officials and staff as he began his tenure. The warm reception reflected the Ministry’s commitment to working collaboratively with the new Minister in the discharge of his mandate.
