The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) is assuring the public and its subscribers that the scheme has not stop dressing and minor suturing.

The NHIA is also reminding its accredited facilities to abide by the bill of the scheme on children and adults.

The assurance has been necessitated as a resulted of a memo issued by the Medial Director of the Bolgatanga Government Hospital dubbed: “Cash Payment for Minors Dressing and Suturing”, which suggested that NHIS members must pay some money for such services.

In a statement issued by the Corporate Affairs Directorate of the NHIA and copied to PrimeNewsGhana on Tuesday said, the NHIA has authorized the Hospital to stop taken money from members of the NHIS for such services.
