The family of Dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns has disclosed that her funeral which is scheduled to take place on the 17th March 2018 will be held at the Independence Square in Accra.

Ebony's father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, speaking on Hitz FM confirmed that after much deliberation with family and stakeholders within the entertainment industry, a decision has been made to use the Independence Square as the venue for her funeral service.

Following the demise of the songstress, the tourism minister, Catherine Afeku empathizing with the family, friends, and fans following the demise of Ebony, said the government will definitely play a role in the artiste's burial.

According to her, government will consult with the family of the late dancehall act to ensure that Ebony is given a befitting burial.

 Ebony Reigns, and two others, Francisca Nkansah and Lance Corporal Francis Atsu Vondee died in a gory accident on February 8 at Nyame Bekyere near Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region..

She was reportedly returning from Sunyani to Accra after a visit to her mother who had returned to Ghana from Abroad when she was involved in the ghastly car accident Friday dawn.

She was rushed to the Bechem Government Hospital but passed on.
