Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced a temporary partial closure of the road in front of the Terminal 2 departure hall as part of ongoing construction and refurbishment works at the airport facility.

According to a public notice issued by the company, the affected section of the road will be closed from Monday, May 11, 2026, to allow for safe refitting works on the frontage and facade of Terminal 2.

The company indicated that the exercise is expected to last for one month.

During the construction period, the affected road section will be inaccessible to both vehicles and pedestrians.

GACL, however, assured the travelling public that measures have been put in place to minimise disruptions. These include the deployment of directional signage and traffic management personnel to guide commuters and ensure smooth movement within the area.

The company also apologised for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause and appealed to travellers and airport users for cooperation while the works are underway.
