A government delegation led by the Deputy Defence Minister, Honourable Ernest Brogya Genfi has visited some bereaved families of the recruitment stampede on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Even though the delegation intended to visit all six bereaved families, they only visited two, due to the heavy downpour.
The delegation visited the families of late Yvonne Amoateng at Adentan and Matilda Midorse at Kokompe in the Kpone-Katamanso District Assembly to commiserate with them.

The Deputy Defence Minister, in his statement, assured the families of the support of government and assistance.
The delegation comprises the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo and Acting Director General Department of Public Relations, Captain (GN) Veronica Adzo Arhin among others.

The visits come in the wake of the tragic incident at the El-Wak Sports Stadium, which claimed the lives of six young women and left several others injured during the ongoing recruitment exercise for the Ghana Armed Forces.
