The Ghana Armed Forces has temporarily suspended its ongoing 2025/2026 recruitment exercise in the Greater Accra Region.

This is due to a fatal incident that occurred at the El-Wak Sports Stadium on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

The suspension, according to a statement, is to allow for additional measures to ensure a seamless exercise.

The statement signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations, stated that a Board of Inquiry has been constituted to unravel the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident.

GAF expressed deep regret for any inconvenience caused to applicants and the general public, and assured that recruitment activities in the other 15 regions will continue as scheduled.

“The Armed Forces deeply regrets any inconvenience this suspension may have caused the general public, particularly affected applicants. Applicants will be informed of the date of resumption of the process later,” the statement added.
