Ghana, Hungary strengthen bilateral ties

Ghana and Hungary have reaffirmed their commitments to deepening their cordial and productive relationship during a courtesy call by the Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Támas Ferher to the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at his office in Accra.

A key focus of the discussions was technology transfer. Mr Muntaka expressed keen interest in leveraging Hungary’s expertise to strengthen prison management systems in the country.

Both parties explored opportunities for collaboration to secure agricultural initiatives, particularly the Prison Agriculture Project, aimed at addressing feeding challenges within the Ghana Prisons Service, promoting self-sustainability and rehabilitation through agricultural productivity.

The Hungarian Ambassador, H.E. Támas Ferher reiterated Hungary’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s development priorities, pledging continued cooperation in these strategic areas.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing optimism about the future of Ghana-Hungary relations, with plans for further engagements to solidify their partnership.
