The Ministry of Health has announced new overseas job opportunities for Ghanaian allied health professionals through a partnership with the Government of Barbados.

In a press release dated April 9, 2026, the Ministry said the initiative seeks to recruit qualified professionals for a range of specialised roles in Barbados, including cardiac perfusionists, ECG technicians, EEG technologists, physiotherapists, audiologists, diagnostic radiographers, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, and speech and language therapists.

According to the Ministry, applicants must meet the regulatory requirements of the Allied Health Professions Council and possess at least five years of working experience.

Interested candidates are required to submit a number of documents, including academic certificates, proof of good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council, criminal record clearance, birth certificate, curriculum vitae, reference letters, and a valid passport, among others.

The application process will run from April 10 to April 14, 2026, and submissions are to be made through the Ministry of Health’s recruitment portal.

Applicants are also expected to present certified copies of their qualifications and professional registration documents during scheduled interviews.

The Ministry noted that incomplete or unsuitable applications will not be considered.

The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to create international career pathways for Ghanaian health professionals while strengthening global collaboration in the health sector.
