The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has released a list of unrecognised institutions, warning the public to be cautious when dealing with them.

In a public notice issued on April 17, 2026, GTEC said the listed institutions are not accredited due to various quality assurance concerns.

The Commission advised students, parents, and employers to verify the status of institutions before enrolling or accepting certificates.

According to GTEC, degrees and certificates issued by these institutions may not be recognised in Ghana.

The list includes several institutions from Ghana and abroad, covering universities, colleges, and theological schools.

GTEC urged the public to exercise due diligence to avoid falling victim to unaccredited institutions.
