A Ghanaian Nurse has managed to raise funds for a male patient who needed Financial support for treatment through a post on her Facebook wall.

The Nurse, Gertrude Maabs Aduwaa Yankson shared photos of herself giving the bedridden patient, Abu Zakari a haircut when she realized he looked quite unkempt since he had been staying in the hospital for almost a month.

The patient, according to her had fallen from a height and was brought to the hospital a week after the incidence because he could not afford treatment or even food.

She then used her post to plead with her Facebook friends and individuals who chanced upon her post to help her raise an amount of GHC1100 for a CT Scan as prescribed by the Doctors.

Nurse Yankson's post was very successful as many people gladly sent their monies, exceeding the GHC1,100 amount, giving the patient the opportunity to have a life-saving scan and treatment.

Many Ghanaians replied to her post with words of encouragement and applause, describing her act as genius and exemplary for all health workers.
