Monies donated at the funeral of President John Dramani Mahama's mother, Hajia Abiba Nnaba will be given to the National Cardiothoracic Centre in Accra.
According to a statement from the presidency released on Tuesday, the funeral which was originally scheduled to take place in Bole – the hometown of the president – will now be held at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 1pm.
“The dress code for the funeral is black and white'', the statement added.
Some African heads of state are expected to attend the funeral of Hajia Nnaba who died on June 15 following a short ailment and was buried according to Islamic custom two days after in her hometown, Busunu in the West Gonja District of the Northern region.
