Ghana Gas Company says the first gas from the Atuabu processing plant to the Karpowership will be pumped on Thursday, October 31.

The Communications Director of Ghana Gas, Ernest Owusu Bempah, who made this known said the laying and setting of pipelines to Karpowership have also been completed and currently undergoing tests.

Mr. Owusu Bempah said about 60 to 90 million cubic feet of gas is expected to be pumped daily.

The Electricity Company of Ghana in 2014 signed on a Power Purchase Agreement with Karpowership to provide a total of 450 megawatts of gas which will be directly fed into the national grid for ten years.
