Three students of Katanga and Unity Halls of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) are to face severe sanctions from the police and management for alleged violent conduct.

The three students reportedly attacked security personnel at a party for first-year students.

The culprit, whose identities are yet to be disclosed, are third and final- year, who stormed the function to cause commotion at the KNUST poolside.

Security personnel overpowered and took them to the security post after a confrontation but they were released.

One of them returned and launched a renewed attack during which a walkie-talkie was damaged.

The Public Relations Officer for the KNUST, Kwame Yeboah Jnr, said investigations have begun into the incident.
