The late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, has been buried at the Madina Muslim Cemetery.
The burial took place on January 5 after Janazah prayers at the National Mosque in Kanda.
The prayers were led by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu.
Several high-profile personalities attended the funeral, including President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, were also among the dignitaries at the National Mosque to pay their respects to the late legislator.
Mr. Toure died on Sunday, January 4, after a short illness.
Mr. Toure, a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), was widely regarded as a dedicated public servant who served the people of Ayawaso East with unwavering commitment until his passing.
