President John Dramani Mahama has thrown his weight behind efforts to transform the Ghana Prisons Service, saying “prison is not a place to wish your enemy”.
President Mahama made the remarks when he received the Ghana Prisons Service Council, led by Interior Minister Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at his office in Jubilee House.

The Council was there to update him on the current condition and urgent needs of the Ghana Prisons Service and the urgent need for its transformation.
President Mahama assured the delegation that the government would address concerns raised to improve conditions for both officers and inmates, endorsing the “Think Prison, Think 360 Agenda”.
The “Think Prison, Think 360” agenda aims at a holistic approach to prison reform, considering the well-being of inmates, prison staff, and the broader community, aiming for rehabilitation and reintegration.
The delegation included Council Chairman Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi and the Director-General of Prisons Mrs Patience Baffoe-Bonnie.
