Man runs after shooting wife of 25 yrs for asking to eat his TZ

The Police at Senfi in the Ashanti Region are searching for a man who shot his wife of over 25 years after a misunderstanding.

The wife, 45-year-old Akua Badu who resides at Abuakwa near Kumasi is said to have visited her husband, Kwasi Amadu and upon seeing him eating a bowl of Tuo Zaafi, she asked to join in but the husband refused her request.

Amadu, apparently still angry at the wife over her request, refused to eat supper and ordered his wife out of their matrimonial home later that evening leaving Akua Badu to spend the night in an uncompleted building near their home.

According to the victim, she returned home the next morning thinking that the husband had cooled down but a drunk Amadu upon seeing her reached for a double-barrel gun and shot her two times, one each in the right shoulder and buttocks.

She was rushed to SDA Hospital at Dominase where she is currently responding to treatment.

Amadu run away after the incident and according to the Unit Committee Chairman at Twenease Adwapong where the incident occurred, Yaw Owusu they would have mounted a search party for Amadu if not for the fact that he escaped with a gun.

The Senfi Police, according to Nhyira FM have commenced investigations into the matter.
