The National Service Authority (NSA) has opened registration for defaulters, private candidates and foreign-trained graduates seeking to undertake national service for the 2026/2027 service year.
In a press release dated April 28, 2026, and signed by Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Authority said the exercise targets Ghanaian graduates who were unable to enrol for national service in previous years, as well as those who studied abroad.

Applicants are required to visit the NSA website and apply for a PIN code by completing an online form, uploading the necessary documents and paying a processing fee of GHC50. Required documents include a letter requesting a PIN code or its reactivation, an attestation or introductory letter from the applicant’s institution, academic certificates and transcripts, as well as copies of a Ghana Card and student ID. Foreign-trained applicants must also provide a copy of their passport.
The NSA noted that after completing the online application, candidates must present original copies of their documents at designated NSA offices for verification during working hours.
The Authority reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), all Ghanaian tertiary graduates are required to undertake national service. It urged eligible applicants to take advantage of the registration window and comply with the requirements to avoid sanctions.
