The Nyaho Medical Center as part of activities to mark its 47 years of existence in the country, has launched a rebranding initiative in Accra on Tuesday.
The rebranding was aimed at improving upon its services and infrastructure to enhance health delivery in the country.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director at the Medical Center, Dr. Elikem Tamakloe said the move was to also inform the public about the activities of the facility and its new services.
The new services include, new interactive website, queue management system for improved patient’s itinerary within the hospital, repackaged health screening services and launch of family physician programme.
“Over the years, people have come to know Nyaho Medical Center as trend setter in the health industry. Regardless of our laurels, very few know what we do into details, â€Dr. Tamaklo stated.
He added that, “we are that organization with varied expert (not just medical specialists) working to achieve successful health outcomes for our patients.
He said, the patient-specialist relationship is an important component in the rebranding process adding that the public could walk into the facility with the expectation that they are working to ensure that more people can access the best care possible.
The facility he said was founded in 1970 on the premise of group medical practice where Specialists from various fields of medicine use their varied skills to work efficiently and co-operatively.
“Since introducing collaborative healthcare to Ghana, we have been perfecting it and the rebranding would further enhance our effort in that area,†he stated.
Head of the Institutional Care Division of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Samuel Kaba has applauded the center for the initiative adding that it is important for every organization to rebrand and subsequently provide quality of care to the people.
He said, the family health physician which ensures that they put the people in the middle of the service they deliver would bring progress in the health system in the country.
According to him, there are moves by the Ghana Health Service to integrate its services with the private sector.
“We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the private sector to ensure seamless health care delivery where there would not be any difficulty moving from one public hospital to a private hospital and vice versa,†he stressed.
He encouraged other institutions and health facilities to rebrand to ensure a great image for the health sector and provide quality services to Ghanaians.
