The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a burglary and theft case at Kasoa Nyayano in the Central Region.

A police statement said the suspect, Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq, was arrested on June 16 from his hideout at Agbogbloshie, a suburb of Accra, after CCTV footage identified him wearing the same outfit used during the break-in.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Sadiq stole an iPhone 14 Pro Max valued at GH₵9,000, a Barclays ATM card, a UK driver’s licence, and £2,000 in cash during the burglary.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to the crime and disclosed that he sold the iPhone 14 Pro Max to an unknown buyer at Agbogbloshie for GH₵2,000.

Sadiq is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, and is expected to be put before the court.
